Scam Alert: Alectra Utilities has received reports of a scam targeting customers.

We’re receiving reports of customers being offered a promotional incentive or bill discount in exchange for sending a large payment by e-transfer. In this scam, fraudsters are asking customers to make payments by e-transfer to a Gmail address.

Please be aware: Alectra Utilities does not accept payments by e-transfer and will never ask customers to send a payment to a Gmail address.

If you receive a suspicious call or payment request, do not provide personal or financial information or send any money. If you are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, contact Alectra Utilities directly at 1-833-ALECTRA (1-833-253-2872).
