Payment Assistance

Residential COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)

On January 14, 2021, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) changed the eligibility criteria to make CEAP for residential customers more easily accessible.

 

New Eligibility: You are eligible for this program if, as of the date you are applying, you have overdue amounts owing from one or more electricity bill(s) incurred since March 17, 2020, the date of the initial Provincial Declaration of Emergency.

 

  • If you already applied, but did not qualify, we will re-evaluate your application using the OEB’s new eligibility criteria.
  • If you previously received funding under this program and are reapplying, you may qualify for additional funding up to a maximum credit of $750. Please note that when calculating the maximum credit, your previously awarded funds will be taken into consideration when determining your eligibility.

We are in the process of updating this site with the new forms which will be available on February 15, 2021.

Small Business COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP-SB)

On January 14, 2021, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) changed the eligibility criteria to make CEAP-SB for small businesses and registered charities more easily accessible.

 

New Eligibility: You are eligible for this program if, as of the date you are applying, you have overdue amounts owing from one or more electricity bill(s) incurred since March 17, 2020, the date of the initial Provincial Declaration of Emergency.

 

  • If you already applied, but did not qualify, we will re-evaluate your application using the OEB’s new eligibility criteria.
  • If you previously received funding under this program and are reapplying, you may qualify for additional funding up to a maximum credit of $1,500. Please note that when calculating the maximum credit, your previously awarded funds will be taken into consideration when determining your eligibility.

The OESP provides ongoing monthly credits directly on the bills of eligible low-income customers.

LEAP provides a one-time financial assistance grant to low-income customers who are struggling to pay their electricity bill.

This form must be completed in full and submitted by the Developer prior to Alectra Utilities providing an Offer to Connect Agreement. This form uses Adobe Approved Trust List. It will still open if you choose not to update the list or close/cancel the prompt.
