Distribution System Capacity Map

In alignment with the Ontario Energy Board's (OEB) directive to enhance transparency in distribution system capacity, and their own Centralized Capacity Information Maps, Alectra Utilities provides a capacity information map through our Alectricity Insights application. This innovative tool enables users to identify where new facilities may be able to connect and supports decision-making regarding connection feasibility by simply entering a location and visualizing the remaining capacity.

How Alectricity Insights works: 

  1. Enter the address: Input the desired location to access relevant data.
  2. View circuit and substation capacity: Obtain visual representations of the potential remaining capacity for the corresponding circuit and substation.
  3. Plan effectively: Utilize this information to strategically plan installations and other projects.

  • Substation and circuit data: Alectricity Insights presents the latest available substation and circuit data. It does not reflect real-time conditions.
  • Informational use only: Alectra provides this information "as is" to assist in decision-making. It is not intended as legal guidance or professional advice.

NOTE: The Alectra Insights website will be decommissioned publicly on December 19, 2025. Moving forward, Alectra will collaborate directly with the OEB's Centralized Capacity Information Maps, and users will be redirected to that platform instead.
