Power Restoration Update: Tuesday, February 17

Regarding the recent outages in Richmond Hill and Vaughan, we apologize for the inconvenience and want to assure customers we’re working hard to resolve the situation.

The issue is related to the salt and other de-icing products used on roads in response to the cold and snowy weather we’ve been having. Airborne particles get caked onto and can cause problems for overhead distribution lines, especially as the weather warms up.

We’re working 24/7 to clean electrical poles and line hardware to prevent further outages, but there is a risk of more issues over the next few days. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this issue as quickly as we can.
