  • Please contact Customer Service during normal business hours at 1-833-ALECTRA (1-833-253-2872).
  • If you are an incorporated business you will be required to have the Articles of Incorporation with you when you call.

  • Landlord agreements to transfer or disconnect the electricity service at rental premises when a tenant closes their account. 
  • Update existing transfer agreements with your choice of Time-of-Use, Tiered, or Ultra-Low Overnight Pricing.

If Alectra Utilities is your municipality’s water/wastewater biller, when opening or closing an account, please provide a meter reading on your service start or end date.

Automatic Payments

Join our convenient pre-authorized payment plan, and we will automatically withdraw your payment from your financial institution on your bill due date. Login to My Alectra and click the Billing menu.

Payment Assistance

The OESP provides ongoing monthly credits directly on the bills of eligible low-income customers.

LEAP provides a one-time financial assistance grant to low-income customers who are struggling to pay their electricity bill.

With Alectra’s Equal Payment Plan your estimated annual charges are split into equal monthly payments, followed by an account reconciliation payment/credit in the 12th month.

Make a Payment Arrangement online or log in to My Alectra

Residential and small business customers who are unable to pay their current or past due bills may be eligible to make a payment arrangement with Alectra Utilities. You can make smaller payment installments along with your regular bill to pay off the remaining arrears over several months. Choose My Rate Option

Residential and Small Business customers can switch their rate option in My Alectra or use our online form.

Residential and Small Business customers can choose from three pricing options: Time-of-Use Pricing, Tiered Pricing, or Ultra-Low Overnight Pricing.

Mid or Large-size Business Account eligible for the Regulated Price Plan

RPP Self-Declaration/Election Form is for bulk metered multi-unit properties or farming businesses that meet the eligibility criteria. Please review the form for more details.

How to sign up for ebilling:

  1. Opt in to paperless billing when you register for My Alectra. You'll need your account number, name as it appears on your bill, and the phone number associated with your account. Contact Customer Care at 1-833-ALECTRA (1-833-253-2872) if you need assistance.
  2. Already registered? Log in to My Alectra. Go to Account > Account Information, and click Enrol under Paperless Billing.

You'll receive an email notification when your next bill is ready to view securely online.

Quick Tip: Get your account balance quickly and easily:

Use our self-serve options when you call 1-833-ALECTRA. Simply press 2, then 1, and follow the prompts to enter your account number and street number. No need to wait on hold. You'll hear the amount and date of your last payment, the current bill amount, and the due date. If you made a payment today, your balance will be updated within 48-72 hours.

Follow these steps to log in to My Alectra:

  1. Recover your username: Click the "forgot username" link on the My Alectra login page and enter the email address you used to register. You'll receive an email from NoReply@AlectraUtilities.com with instructions.
  2. Reset your password: Click the "forgot password" link on the My Alectra login page and enter the username you received in Step 1. You'll receive an email with instructions to reset your password. Use your username and new password to log in.
