Distribution System Capacity Map

In alignment with the Ontario Energy Board's (OEB) directive to enhance transparency in distribution system capacity, Alectra Utilities provides a capacity information map through our Alectricity Insights application. This innovative tool is designed primarily for electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) developers, providing critical insights into the available capacity of circuits and substations within Alectra's service territory. By simply entering a location, users can visualize remaining capacity, facilitating informed decision-making for EV charging infrastructure projects.

How Alectricity Insights works:

  1. Enter the address: Input the desired location to access relevant data.
  2. View circuit and substation capacity: Obtain visual representations of the potential remaining capacity for the corresponding circuit and substation.
  3. Plan effectively: Utilize this information to strategically plan EVSE installations and other projects.

Ongoing enhancements

Alectra Utilities is committed to providing valuable resources for EVSE developers and associated partners through the Alectricity Insights application. We are dedicated to continuously updating and refining Alectricity Insights on a quarterly basis to reflect the latest system capacity conditions.
